Pelican Hill offers the choice of two golf courses designed by Tom Fazio on a prime location overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Newport Coast. The club was recently honored by Business Week and Golf Digest magazines as one of the nation's "Eighteen Great Country Clubs for a Day." Pelican Hill was also recognized in Zagat's Guide to Top Golf Courses in 2003 as a "Top 10 Golf Destination in California," and in 2002 GOLF Magazine named both its Ocean North and Ocean South as two of the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play" in America. GOLF Magazine has also names Hole 17 on the Ocean North Course as one of the "Best Holes in the World." Golf Digest ranked Pelican Hill as one of the country's "Best Golf Resorts," honoring the club with its "Four Star Award" for both courses.
